Abbey Station St Albans has a unique and fascinating history of the institution, the history of St Albans Abbey Station began with the institution on May 5th, 1858 by the ‘St Albans’ name. St Albans Railway Abbey Station was opened by West Midland Railway Trains and owned by London, Midland and Scottish Railway (not to be confused with St Albans City Station opened by the same company). Despite aforesaid affiliations, St Albans Abbey Train Station was owned by the London and North Western Railway.
