Herts Big weekend is a region-wide series of fascinating, amusing, and exciting events, programmes mainly based on national English tourism. The history of Herts Big Weekend started in 2016 with the primary goal to provide the locals with a FREE opportunity to enjoy family vacations and leisure time. Herts Big Weekend is also affiliated with the Family Holiday Association. The main goal of Herts Big Weekend is to promote tourism and bring betterment for the residents. You can share the enthusiasm and excitement with family, friends, and visitors. Each year several tourism businesses donate hundreds of free tickets to add more excitement to Herts Big Weekend. Here are the important dates related to Herts Big Weekend:
- 8th February – public ballot for free tickets opens
- 9th February to 11th March – promotion of attractions and Visit Herts publicize the event
- 11th March – Public ballot for free tickets closes
- 12th March – Winners for free tickets are informed via email or other means
- 12th March to 19th March – returns tickets are available to download and finalised on Herts Big Weekend
- 22nd March – Finalized list of winners are sent to attractions
- 24th, 25th March – Herts Big Weekend event day
