After the successful inauguration of St Albans Abbey Station<\/a>, the Midland Railway<\/a> added another train station marvel to its list by building St Albans City Station<\/a>. The history of St Albans City Train station started on October 1<\/span>st,<\/span> 1868 with a spectacular establishment. Initially, Midland Railway thought of expanding the St Pancras Train Station<\/a> and built St Albans City terminus for it. Also, St Albans was quite famous for the trading of Watercress<\/a> (aquatic plant species), loads of 25 kg (56-pound) were sent to London and Manchester from St Albans.<\/span><\/p>\n
