According to online sources, the history of St Michaels Church, St Albans<\/a> came into existence in the 10<\/span>th<\/span> century. <\/span>Matthew Paris<\/a>, <\/b>a 13<\/span>th<\/span>-century renowned monk and raconteur reported in his write that the<\/span> Wulsin of <\/span>St Alban\u2019s Abbey<\/a> <\/b>laid foundation of three churches in St Albans: <\/span>St Peter\u2019s Church<\/a>, <\/b>St Michaels Church, and St Stephen\u2019s Church<\/strong><\/a> in 948 A.D. He further relates that these three religious institutions were necessary to serve and facilitate the pilgrims coming to visit the shrine of <\/span>Saint Alban<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n
