Clarence Park is considered to the home of St Albans city FC for more than 100 years. The park first came into being by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/John_Blundell_Maple\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Sir John Blundell Maple Bart<\/a>, <\/strong>an MP, who big-heartedly gave away the site of the park (24 and a half acre) to the natives of St Albans.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>But Football was being played in the park before 1894\u2026.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before Sir John\u2019s generosity, football was already being played at Clarence Park. In fact, the first team to ever play in the park was none other than St Albans City FC (original team of 1881). Until in 1920, when the club availed a great opportunity by participating in the Athenian League.
